I came out of my apartment a week or so ago and met this fellow crossing the street. I'm not sure where he was coming from (he was headed away from the parking lot of my building) but he knew where he wanted to go.
He's not the first sloth I've run into but he may well be the biggest....
The things you see in your neighbourhood.

I think it says quite a bit about my state of mind that I actually fast forwarded the video. But I loved the home, sweet tree moment at the end. So windy!
Fascinating! Firstly, if you have "run into" other sloths in the past, it makes me wonder about the pace you walk at(tee hee). . .I think you should start a sloth racing league in Bolivia (if there isn't one already) with the goal being to come in last. What a unique looking critter in God's creation that you got to see--very cool.
Is sloth good to eat ?
Is the fur good for clothing or gloves ?
Just wondering.
As far as I know Sloths just exist to make you smile. We don't eat them or use them for anything I don't think. Nothing I've ever seen anyhow... =)
How did I not comment on this??? This guy is COOL!
You should read "Slowly, Slowly, Slowly, said the the Sloth" by Eric Carle. You would like it.
Sorta of different than the sloth in Ice Age.
This is your average sloth? Cool!
