You call those fireworks? Those aren't fireworks. These are fireworks...

I've been posting videos and pictures of our Christmas and New Years celebrations for the past few years, but I've never been able to fully describe to you what it's like here.  I've said many times it sounds like you're in a war zone.

Now I can finally show you what it's all about.  My friends have a second story deck that faces the city and they were able to video tape what happens at midnight on Dec. 24 and 31.  You won't believe it... 



There you go...now you know.  I'm proud to say that we do our part every year in this crazy celebration.  I also love that this happens twice in one week!  =)  But there'll be more on that later.  For now...a belated Bolivian Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Excuses, excuses....

I had to get ready for Christmas.

It was Christmas.

It was New Years.

My parents are here.

It's too hot out.

I took my parents on a crazy road trip to the ends of the earth (or at least Bolivia).

I live in a house with 12 guys who never stop pestering me.

My parents are here (yea I know...twice on the list...but it's a good excuse).

I'm Ken.

That's my list of reasons (ie. excuses) why the blog hasn't been updated in weeks (ie. months).  My friend told me that it's officially out of date.  Not sure who decides that, but sure.  If you can all wait one week more, my parents (sadly) will be on their way back to Canada and I'll have a bit more time on my hands.  Then I'll have amazing, awe inspiring stories and pictures of the last month. 

Or at the very least a couple of pics of the new running boards I got for my truck.

Either way...stay tuned.

Okay...off to the pool tomorrow. 

Oh...that's a good excuse too.  Consider that added that to the list...
